Your information, and how we take care of it
Membership Test Studio is a small yoga and Pilates studio in downtown Ithaca, NY. This page explains what information we collect through our website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We collect only what we need to run our classes and private sessions.
What we collect
When you book. When you sign up for a group class or a private session, we ask for your name, your email address and, if you choose to share it, your phone number. We also keep a record of the classes and sessions you book.
When you sign our waiver. Our class waiver asks for your name, the date, your contact details and your signature. You and we each get a copy of the signed form. We do not ask for health, injury or medical information on our website. If there's something about your body you'd like your teacher to know, please tell them in person.
When you send us a message. If you contact us through a form on our site, we receive your name, your contact details and whatever you write to us.
When you pay. If you pay for a class, a session or a membership online, your card details are handled by the payment service. We don't store your full card number.
How we use it
We use your information to run the studio: to save your spot in a class or a private session, keep track of memberships and drop-ins, keep a signed waiver on file, answer your questions, and let you know about changes to a class or session you've booked.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information, and we don't rent it or trade it to anyone. We share it only with the services that help us run our website, bookings and payments, and only so they can do that work for us, or when the law requires it.
Keeping it safe
We keep your information only as long as we need it to run the studio, keep our records and meet our legal obligations, and we take reasonable care to protect it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it when we no longer need to keep it. Just ask, and we'll help.
